Ionia Sentinel, Thursday, May 10, 1962

LYONS - Spencer J. Seabrook, 49, of Holt, former resident of Lyons and Ionia, 
died at 11 o’clock Thursday morning at Ingham Medical hospital following a 
lingering illness. 

He was born February 27, 1913 in North Plains township the son of Mr. and Mrs. 
George Seabrook.  He had been an area operator for Consumer Power company 15 
years and was previously employed at the Consumer dam in Lyons.

He was married September 6, 1936 to Zelphia Adams.

Mr. Seabrook was a veteran of World War II serving with the United States 
Navy.  He was a member of American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars of Ionia 
and a member of Holt Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife Zelphia, three sons, Roger, Mike and Randy, and a 
daughter Lynna all at home, a brother Carl Seabrook of Ionia.  One brother 
preceded him in death.

Funeral service will be at Lyons Baptist church Sunday at 3 p.m. with The Rev. 
Elmer Ubbink officiating.  Interment will be at Muir Cemetery.

Arrangements are by Shaw-Rivett funeral home.
