Seaman, 54, of 610 North Lumberjack road, Sumner, died Saturday evening at Carson City hospital after being a patient the past two weeks. She was a former resident of Ionia having lived at 212 Mill. Born in New Haven township, Gratiot county, June 10, 1919, she was the daughter of Alvin and Emma Spitler Curtis and attended the Callahan rural school. She was married to Joseph Seaman, known as Ed Seaman, October 22, 1956, and he died in May of 1972. She then moved to Sumner. Surviving are a son, Leon Houseman of Riverdale; two daughters, Mrs. Nalma Wells of Charlotte and Mrs. Josephine Wahlse of Greenville; nine grandchildren; four brothers, Lester Keltner of Perrington, Harry Curtis of Detroit, Alvin Curtis, Jr., of Sumner and Ronald Curtis of Carson City; five sisters, Mrs. Viola Smalley of Oregon, Mrs. Mary Helmes of Laingsburg, Mrs. Elsie Ervin of Blanchard, Mrs. Wanda Lewis Sumner. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Leddick funeral home. Rev. William Kirkpatrick of Crystal Church of God will officiate and interment will be at New Haven Center cemetery, Gratiot county near Carson City.
