Lyons Herald, 5 Mar 1908

The funeral of Emily Searing was held from the house Saturday, being attended 
by a large number of relatives and friends.  The floral offerings were 
numerous.  The service was conducted by Rev. H.E. Wylie.

Deceased was born in 1838 and was the daughter of Joseph LeTandre, who settled 
on a farm east of Lyons in an early day.  She was married to Henry Searing 
December 25, 1862, and moved to Lyons village in 1873.  Her husband died July 
28, 1907, and her only sister passed away September 19, 1907, and she died 
February 26, 1908.
