November 4th, 1868, he was united in marriage to Miss Harriett Madison, who departed this life February 18, 1907. To them were born three children, Emmett of Alberton, Mont.; Guy, of Jackson, Mich.; and Mrs. Robert Etson, of Grand Rapids, Mich. In March, 1908, he was married to Mrs. Rose Hammond, who survives. Besides the three children and widow, he leaves one brother, James A., of Portland, Oregon; and one sister, Mrs. Laura Lane, of this village. Emmett Searing and James A.
