The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Tuesday, August 3, 1954
Funeral services for Mrs. Charles W. Sears, 41, of Route 1, Sand Lake and 
formerly of Ionia, were held Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at the Walsh Chapel, Cedar 
Springs.  Interment was in Crandall cemetery, Newaygo.

Mrs. Sears was found dead at her home Saturday morning.  Coroner H. J. 
McKinley of Grant said death was due to self-administered poison.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Viola White of Stanton and Mrs. Lorraine 
Rountree of Coolidge, Ariz.; two sons, Eugene Thacker of Ionia and James 
Thacker in the armed forces, one sister, five brothers and her father.
