Lake Odessa Wave-Thurs. Dec. 26, 1974

Services Held for Cleo Sears
Cleo J. Sears, 76, Route 1, Lake Odessa passed away Wednesday evening at a Kalamazoo
Hospital after an extended illness.

He was born May 21, 1898 in Barry County, the son of George and Clara (Summ) Sears
and was a 1916 graduate of the Woodland High School.

He married Glendora Wortley, October 21, 1920, and they resided on the farm
southwest of the village.  He retired from farming in 1960 and was a lifelong resident of 
the area. They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1970.

Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Arnold (Audra) Cunningham of Lake Odessa;
seven grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Theda Wilt of Hastings.

Funeral service were held Saturday at 1:30 at the Pickens-Koops Funeral Chapel. Rev.
Charles Dunbar officiated with burial in lakeside cemetery.
