Clara J. Sears, 91, Died in Hastings

Mrs. Clara J. Sears, 91, life long resident of Woodland passed away Monday  
morning at the Barry county Medical Facility, Hastings, where she had been a 
resident for the past six months.

Her parents were John and Mary Velte Summ Sr., of Woodland Township.

Mrs. Sears was a member of the United Brethren church at Woodland.

Surviving are a son, Cleo of rural Lake Odessa; a daughter, Mrs. Titus (Theda) 
Witt of Battle Creek; two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Gerlinger of Hastings and Mrs. 
Anna Gerlinger of Barry County Medical Facility; two grandchildren and 6 great 
grandchildren. Her husband George, passed away in April 1958.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday at 3:30 at the Pickens Funeral Chapel 
with burial in the Woodland Memorial cemetery. Rev. Harley Townsend of Middleton 
officiated.
