Ionia Sentinel Standard, 2003

Irene N. Sebring, 88, of Saranac passed away Monday, Jan. 20, 2003, in Lowell.  
She was born March 16, 1914 in Detroit, the daughter of Frank and Goldie 
(Becker) Elliott Jr.  She went on to marry Charles M. Sebring August 23, 1934 
in Lansing.  He preceded her in death July 2, 1983.

She is survived by her daughters Ruth Ann (Frank) Risner of Colorado, and Mary 
White of Saranac; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and two step-
great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her son Richard C. Sebring, 
August 25, 1999.

Funeral services for Mrs. Sebring are 11 a.m. Thursday at Lake Funeral Home in 
Saranac with Rev. James Frank officiating.  Interment will be in Sunset 
Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends and family Wednesday 7 p.m. 
to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.  Anyone wishing may make a memorial 
contribution to Alzheimer’s or Ionia Area Hospice.  Envelopes are available at 
the funeral home.
