Seelig, 77, died early Sunday morning at his Clarksville home. Born March 9, 1895, at Napoleon Ohio, he was the son of Jacob and Minnie Gunther Seelig. He was married at Montpelier, Ohio, to Ama Neil and came to the Clarksville area in 1932. He was employed as a substitute rural mail carrier for Clarksville post office several years and served on the village council seven years. He owned and operated a cabinet workshop until he retired due to ill health. Surviving are his wife, three daughters, Mrs. Vett Cowles, Jr., of Fenton, Mrs. William Francis of Flint and Mrs. Wilbur Livingston of Clarksville; two sons, Charles of Holly and Harry of Clarksville; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at Pickens funeral chapel at Clarksville. Rev. Glenn Pettigrove will officiate and interment will be at Clarksville cemetery.
