She was born September 12, 1891, in Palo, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Philip Markle and attended school in Palo. The family moved to Ionia and June 24, 1914 she was married to Early Seely in Ionia by the Rev. E. E. Branch. Mr. Seely was owner of the Tribune Printery and following his death in 1939 Mrs. Seely operated the business for a year. She was a member of the First Baptist church and the C.C.W. class. Surviving besides her daughter, Mrs. Hoople, are three grandchildren, Earlene, Philip and Patricia Hoople. The body reposes at the Stone-Kauffman funeral home until noon Saturday when it will be taken to the First Baptist church where services will be held at 3 o’clock with the Rev. W. W. Pixley officiating. Interment will be in the family lot at Oak Hill cemetery. Subsequent Publication, date unknown Funeral services for Mrs. Edith Seely, who died suddenly Wednesday evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Russell Hoople, at 106 East Lincoln avenue, were held Saturday afternoon at 3 o’clock at the First Baptist church with the Rev. W. W. Pixley officiating. Organist was Miss Ethel Crispin. Members of the C.C.W. class, of which Mrs. Seely was a member, attended the services in a group and acted as honorary escorts at the church. Pallbearers were Ormison Hilborn, Ernest Wheeler, Lee Wiseman, Guy Edington, Hiram Darling and Benjamin Carter. Interment was at Oak Hill cemetery. Those who attended from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Jack Hoffman and Mrs. Mamie Minnis of Saginaw, Mr. and Mrs. Walter B. Markle and Mr. and Mrs. Sam Jerome and son of Alberton, Ontario, and Mrs. Pearl Oakes of Ancaster, Ontario.
