Ionia Sentinel Standard, 30 Jan 1995

George W. Seibel, 91, of Eagle, died Friday, Jan. 27, 1995.  He was born Oct. 4,
1903, the son of William and Mary (Krekeler) Seibel.  He was a member of the St.
Patrick’s Catholic Church, attended Lansing Business University and was employed
with the Michigan State University grounds department.  He was a farmer and in
the landscape and gardening business for 42 years.

Surviving are his wife Adela; two daughters: Carol (Jack) Shepard of Howell and
Janice Seibel (Zaffarano) of Nevada, Iowa.  He was preceded in death by a
daughter Mary Cantu.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, Jan. 31, at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick’s
Catholic Church, 140 Church St. in Portland, with the Rev. Larry King
officiating.  Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Westphalia.  Visitation
will be at the Neller Chapel, 210 Bridge St. in Portland, Monday from 2-4 p.m.
and 7-9 p.m.  Rosaries will be prayed Monday at 3 and 8 p.m.
