May 4, 2017 DAWN SEINEN 1962-2017 Dawn D. Seinen of Ionia was scooped up into the arms of Jesus April 30, 2017. Dawn was born in Biester, England on Feb. 22, 1962 the daughter of Gene and Roslyn (Anderson) Wagoner. Dawn moved to Iowa on Nov. 3, 1963, later moving to Michigan at the age of 3. Dawn graduated from Grandville High School, Class of 1980. She attended Kent Skill Center for secretarial school. Upon completion, she was hired on June 25. 1980 by Kent county wheee she met her future husband. Dawn retired as an office administrator on June 17, 2005 after 25 years of dedicated service. She met Michael Seinen when she was working as Michael was a police Cadet at the time. Dawn and Michael were married on Feb. 16, 1990 in the Moline Christian Reformed Church. Michael and Dawn have resided in Ionia ever since. Dawn is survived by her husband of 27 years, Michael, mother Roslyn Williams of Grand Rapids, Twin Brothers, Gary Wagoner of Saranac and Larry Wagoner of Houston, Texas, sisters Michelle Leach (Gene) of Allendale, Shannon Wagoner of Grand Rapids, Mother and father-in-law, Harvey and Jackie Seinen of Moline, brother and sister-in-laws, Scott (Becky) Seinen of Dorr, Michele Boerma of Colorado, her special Eisenga family, the late Pearldean and Ben Eisenga, DawnLynn (Sam) Suttorp of Grand Rapids, Barry (Betsy) Eisenga of Hudsonville, Jill (Rick) VanEk of Hudsonville, Sue (Kelly) Moore of Jenison and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Gene Wagoner and brother-in-law Jeff Boerma. Dawn also leaves her special friend and partner in crime Rose Adams. Also, her beloved dog, Charlie. Dawn loved to travel, listen to music, walking her dogs, quilting and cooking. We will all miss her beautiful smile and laughter. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, May 6 at the Lake Funeral Home in Ionia. Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to service. In Lieu of flower donation may be made to Ionia County Animal Shelter or Faith Hospice in Byron Center. In remembrance of dawn wear her favorite color red.
