TWO IONIANS MEET DEATH IN GRAND RAPIDS
Herman Selbach and Mrs. Catherine Brose Died Sunday and Monday morning.

Herman Selbach, age 40 years, died Monday morning in Butterworth hospital. Only a
week ago Mr. Selbach visited Ionia friends and apparently was in the best pf health.
Thursday he went to the hospital and was operated on for appendicitis and gall stones and his
death followed this morning.

He was a former Ionia resident and when living in Ionia was a draftsman for the Pere
Marquette shops. About two years ago he moved to Grand Rapids.

Surviving him are his wife and three children, Lawrence, Josephine, and Walter, also
one brother Joseph of Ionia.
