Gary Selden
LANSING-Gary Robert Selden of Lansing  passed away November 11, 2021 in Lansing. 
Gary was born May 25, 1941 in Portland, Michigan to the late Robert and Stella 
(VanAmburg) Selden. He graduated from Portland High School Class of 1959 and 
went on to work and retire from Fisher-Body in material handling.Gary also 
worked part time driving courtesy cars for Sawyers Chevrolet. He was a longtime 
faithful member of the First Baptist Church of DeWitt.Gary was an animal love 
and enjoyed his dogs and chickens. He was also a fan of Marilyn Monroe. He is 
survived by his wife, Sandy (Stanton);children, Tammy (Ron) Atherton and Mark 
(Dawn) Selden; grandchildren, Joshua (Cindy) Selden, Ashley (Matt) Roe, Adam 
(Shawna) Selden RJ Atherton, Amber Jo (Josh), Sadi, Taylar, Emerson, Kaylee, 
Savanna and William Selden, Alana, Nayah and Lindsey Jenkins; 9 great-
grandchildren; brother,Gerald (Beverly) Selden; daughters-in-law, Jami and Wendy 
Selden; step-children, Dan (Chrissy)Jenkins, Mike (Sherry) Jenkins, Audrey 
(Jeff) Kimmey and Brian (Jennifer) Dumont. Gary was preceded in death by his 
sons, Don and Brian and daughter-in-law, Dawn Selden. A visitation was held 
Sunday, November 14, 2021 from 2-6:00 p.m. at the Holihan-Atkin-Barclay Funeral 
Home, Grand Ledge. Memorial contributions in Gary's name may be given to the 
First Baptist Church, 11068 S. DeWitt Road, DeWitt, Michigan 48820. Share our
