HOWARD J. (Shorty) SELFRIDGE
LANSING 0 Howard J. Selfridge, 88, of Ionia, formerly of Houghton Lake and Lansing,
died Nov. 14 in Ionia.

Born Sept. 19, 1899, in Williamston, he lived most of his life in Ingham county.
Employed by Motor Wheel in Lansing for 11 years, including during World War II, he retired as an
electrical contractor in 1965.

Surviving are two sons, Robert of Lansing and Ronald of Ionia; six grandchildren;
and a half-brother, Ormial Selfridge of Lansing.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2;30 p.m. from the Gorsline-Runciman Lansing
Chapel, with the Rev. Willis Braun officiating.

Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memory Gardens.

A memorial has been established for Ionia Area Hospice, in care of the funeral home.
