Janette Irene Selleck, 96, of Greenville, passed away Friday, Dec. 2, 2011 at 
Twin Oaks Retirement Home, Gowen.

She was born in Grand Ledge on Oct. 6, 1915, the daughter of Elmer and Sylvia 
Watson Mitchell.

Janette worked for the Wolverine World Wide Company first in the glove factory, 
then at the shoe factory, both in Greenville.  She retired with more than 30 
years of service. She loved to travel and wintered in Apache Junction, Ariz. 
for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Richard Pettit in 1962 and Cleve 
Selleck in 2004. Also preceding her were her granddaughter, Lynette Peiffer in 
1990; her stepsons Frank (Virginia, deceased) Selleck and John Selleck; and her 
siblings, Alfred and Lyle Mitchell, Effie Linderman and Doris Covert.

She is survived by her daughter; granddaughter; six great grandchildren and 12 
great-great-grandchildren; her brother; stepson; stepdaughter; stepdaughter-in-
law and many step-grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great 
grandchildren.
