Selleck, 84, of Fenwick, passed away Monday morning, Sept. 20, 1999, at Metron of Belding. He was born Feb. 16, 1915 in Orleans, the son of Charles and Myrtle Buckley Selleck, and was a Ronald Township resident all his life. Charlie farmed in Ronald Township and also was briefly employed at General Motors Oldsmobile Plant in the early 1940s. He also was employed by Gibson Refrigeration for 25 years until his retirement in 1975. He married the former Helen Lindley Foltz Kenny in 1967. Surviving are his wife, Helen; three children and their spouses, Harry and Barbara Selleck of Muskegon, Karolyn and James Van Noord of Sparta; Marcia and Steve Fountain of Ionia; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; five stepchildren and their spouses, Dorothy and Bert Bennett of Orleans, Robert and Delores Kenny of Belding, Josephine and Joe Brown of Greenville, Pat and John Currigan of Holt, James and Marion Kenny of Greenville; 14 step-grandchildren, 19 stepgreat-grandchildren, and eight stepgreat-great-grandchildren; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Cleve and Janette Selleck of Fremont, Dean and Mabel Selleck of Hastings, Jerry and Celia Selleck of Ionia; five sisters and one brother-in-law, Hazel Bollinger of Ionia, Sylvia Church of Florida, Ethel Quenby of Lansing, Addie and Gordon Higbee of Orleans, Hattie Tatosian of Florida. He was preceded in death by one stepdaughter, Margorie Orr, and one brother, J.B. Selleck. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Cook Funeral Home, downtown Ionia, with the Rev. Kenneth Harger, of Shiloh Community Church, officiating. Interment will be in Balcom Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Rich St. Chapel of Cook Funeral Home, Ionia.
