William H. Selleck, of North Orleans, Ends His Existence. William H. Selleck, of North Orleans, killed himself with a revolver at 7 o’clock Monday morning, putting a bullet through his right temple. Despondency over finances is given as the cause of the rash act. Selleck is of a well known Orleans family, and 40 years of age. He owned a small tract of land eight and one-half miles north, near Piper school house, half way between the S.T. Kidd farm and Wood’s Corners. He got up that morning, went to the barn, milked the cow and finished his chores, then went to the main floor of the barn and a moment later was dead. He leaves a wife but no children. About a year and a half ago a brother of deceased was found dead, frozen to death. The funeral, conducted by Rev. D.L. Martin, was held at 10 o’clock Tuesday from Shiloh church; interment at Clear Lake. He belonged to the K.O.T.M. at Shiloh.
