He had been in poor health the past year. He was born April 4, 1876, near Farmington, N.Y., the son of Joseph and Adelaine Selleck, coming to Michigan with his parents at the age of four years. The family settled near Woods Corners, Orleans township, and Charley Selleck was engaged in farming in Ionia county for most of his life. December 14, 1904 he was married to Myrtle A. Buckley of Busnell township, Montcalm county. To this union were born five sons and five daughters, all surviving. He leaves his wife, Myrtle, five daughters, Mrs. Hazel Bollinger of Orleans, Mrs. Sylvia Church of East Lansing, Mrs. Addie Higbee of Orleans, Miss Ethel Selleck of Lansing, Mrs. Hattie Tatasian of Los Angeles, Calif., five sons, J. B. and Jerry at home, Cleve Selleck of Orleans, Charles H. of Ronald township, Dean at Long Lake; a brother, Louis A. of Ionia; a sister, Mrs. Hattie Higbee of Ionia; 16 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held from the Myers funeral home Wednesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Wayne Davis officiating. Interment will be in Woodard Lake cemetery. Subsequent Publication: Thursday, February 5, 1948 Funeral services for Charles Selleck, 71, were held from the Myers funeral home Wednesday afternoon with the Rev. Wayne Davis, pastor of the Church of Christ, officiating. Interment was in Woodard Lake cemetery. Mr. Selleck died at the Ionia County Memorial hospital January 31. His bearers were Carl Owen, J. H. Higbee, Joseph Selleck, Kenneth Selleck, James Bollinger, and Amos Bollinger. Attending his services from out of town were Mrs. Hattie Tatosin of Los Angeles, Calif., Mr. and Mrs. Miles Church and son of East Lansing, Mrs. Cora Kelly of Bath, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Selleck, Mr. and Mrs. John Mack and Mrs. Cleobel Minier and son of Grand Rapids, Mrs. Vera Markham, Mr. and Mrs. Amos Bollinger and Mr. and Mrs. James Bollinger of Vestaburg, Mrs. Lottie Bollinger of Merrill, Mrs. John Scott of Lyons, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Miller of Pewamo, Mrs. Hattie Higbee and Miss Eva Higbee of Kalamazoo, Mrs. Lois Moehring of Sheridan, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Wolverton of Vickeryville and Mr. and Mrs. Sam Clifford and Lyle Clifford of Port Huron.
