CHARLES ALAN SELLMAN
Charles Alan Sellman was called home to be with God and his loved ones on 
Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2019.

Alan was born on April 13, 1942 in Baltimore, MD. he graduated from Newberry 
College and lutheran Theological Southern Seminary. Alan served as a pastor 
for 30 years in South Carolina and Michigan. Upon retirement he worked at 
Home depot and enjoyed working in his flowers and yard, and attending Trinity 
Lutheran Church.

Alan is survived by his wife Esther; his son, Charles Alan Sellman Jr., and 
daughters, Sharon (Lavel) Fourcha, and Jennifer (Dennis) Brown. He is also 
survived by his grandchildren, Brendon, Kayla, Jordan, and Lincoln Sellman, 
Mollie Fourcha, and Brianda Sellman.

He is further survived by his stepdaughters, Nicole (Matthew) Schaar, and 
Lisa (Douglas) Roossien and grandchildren, Austin and Logan Thomas and Fiona 
Roossien. Alan is also survived by sister-in-law, Harriett Sellman and niece, 
Staci Sellman.

Alan was preceded in death by his parents, Charles H. and Gloria (Foster) 
Sellman; his brother, Michael Sellman and stepdaughter, Katrina Presnell.

Memorial services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church at 2700 Fulton St., 
Grand Rapids, on Saturday Feb. 23, 2019, at 11 a.m.
