Lake Odessa Wave – Thursday, 29 July 1937
Mrs. Nancy E. Sells was born in Hancock County, Ohio, July 1, 1886, and passed 
quietly away July 25, 1937, at the home of her daughter Mrs. A. C. Weygandt in 
Lake Odessa at the age of 71 years and 24 days.  Her early life was spent 
around her birthplace.  At the age of 20 she moved with her parents, the Henry 
Keels, to Whitley County, Indiana.

On September 17, 1892, she was united in marriage to John W. Sells of North 
Manchester, Ind.  To this union five children were born, all of whom live in 
Michigan:  Chlone of Mount Pleasant; Mrs. A. C. Weygandt, Lake Odessa; Roy, 
Muskegon, and Ray and Ralph of Beulah.  These and 17 grandchildren along with 
two sister and five brothers survive. The latter are Mrs. Jonas Bowers of Fort 
Wayne, Ind., Mrs. Ed Juillerat of Columbia City, Ind, Harry and Arley of 
Whitley county, Ind., Lawrence, Covington, Ohio, Chauncey, Dayton, Ohio, 
William, Los Angeles, Cal., and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

After services at the Bender funeral chapel, Tuesday at 2 o’clock iInterment 
was made in Oaklawn cemetery, North Manchester, Ind., the Rev. Roy McRoberts 
officiating at the funeral.
