Lincoln Avenue, died Tuesday evening at the Ionia Manor. He was born July 17, 1898, in Bulgaria. His family immigrated to the United States when he was two months old, settling in Toledo, Ohio. He was married in 1917 to Ruth Essler; she preceded him in death in 1972. He owned and operated Pete’s Farm Market on Lincoln Avenue for many years, retiring in 1979. He was a veteran of World War I and World War II. He was a member of the Ionia American Legion. He is survived by two nieces, Mrs. William (Julia) Miller of Strugis and Mrs. Violet Lahr of Centreville, and a nephew, Frank Bailey of Tennessee. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Roetman Funeral Home. Burial will be in Easton Cemetery.
