RONALD SENSIBA DIED THURSDAY

Ronald L. Sensiba, 22, died Thursday morning at the Ionia County Memorial 
Hospital, a short time after admittance. 

He received severe head, chest and internal abdominal injuries, according to 
officers, in an accident on Musgrove Highway, about one mile northeast of town, 
when his car left the road hitting steel guard rail and posts causing the car to 
flip end over end across the creek and crash against a tree. 

A passing motorist notified Deputy Dale Hynes of the accident about 5:30 a.m. 
and he notified State Police and sent the ambulance to the scent. Ronald was 
apparently enroute to his home on Bippley Road when the accident happened. He 
had spent most of his life in the local area coming here from Hastings with his 
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Sensiba, when a small child. They lived on a farm 
northwest of town before moving to Clarksville and had been living here for 
about a year. 

A graduate of the Lake Odessa Community School, class of 1952, he served two 
years in the U.S. Army with oversea service in Japan and Korea, returning home 
in June 1956.

he had been employed in Grand Rapids until recently and was assisting his father 
on a farm near Saranac.

Surviving besides his parents are three sisters Mrs. Aubrey (Barbara) Desgranges 
of route 2, Lake Odessa, Susan and Sandra at home; a brother Donnie at home and 
his grandfather Arthur Raymer of Hastings.

Funeral services were held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Pickens Funeral Chapel with 
burial in Clarksville cemetery. Rev. A.J. Pitman officiated.
