Ionia Standard, 11 Sep 1914

Sarah A. Fortune was born May 20, 1843, in the village of Yates, Orleans 
county, N. Y. and died Monday, August 31, 1914, at the home of her daughter, 
Mrs. Chas. Warren, in Muir.

She was married to Oscar D. Servoss May 19, 1861.  To this union were born 
seven children.  One passed away four years ago.  The other six together with 
the husband are left to mourn the death of a kind and faithful wife and a sweet 
and loving mother.

The funeral was held from the home at one o’clock and at the North Plains 
church at two o’clock.  Rev. M. J. Weaver pastor of the Muir Presbyterian 
church officiated.
