Ionia County News – Thursday, 22 February 1934

Clyde E. Sessions, 61, died at Traverse City Friday, February 16, following a 
brief illness of perforated ulcer.  The funeral was held Monday afternoon at 
two o’clock, from the Fay J. Hall Funeral Home on Dexter St., with burial in 
Highland Park Cemetery.  Rev. F. J. Fitch of the Ionia Baptist church and Rev. 
E. E. Branch of Grand Rapids officiated.

Remaining relatives are his widow, Mrs. Myrtle Sessions, two sons, John A., of 
Waukegan, Ill., and Douglas L., of Kent, Ohio; a brother, Roy Sessions, of 
Pomona, Calif., and two sisters, Mrs. George Deuerling, Kendalville, Ind., and 
Miss Clare Sessions.

The pall bearers were, Thane Benedict, Herbert Powell, Herbert Cooper, Hiram 
Darling, Pearl Hall and Lee Yates.

Out of town friends who came to attend the funeral were, Mrs. Della Hall and 
daughter, Clara Bliss, Lansing;   Mrs. A. Bliss, Muskegon and Lloyd Bliss of 
Grand Rapids.
