Sessions which had occurred the evening before. At supper time she appeared as well as usual, and after finishing her supper work went to the home of her daughter, Mrs. Frank Miner, about a block away. Shortly after nine she started for home. A terrific wind was blowing at the time and Mrs. Minor offered to accompany her home, but she said she would get along all right. Mrs. Miner was so anxious about her, however, that she stood out on the plaza and watched her until she entered the house. Mr. Sessions closed the store about ten o’clock and went home. He was surprised to find the house dark and the window blinds up, and upon trying the door he found it was not locked. As he entered, the street lights enabled him to see that his wife was lying upon the couch, and he called her. Receiving no response, he went up and touched her and was shocked to find her dead. Medical aid was summoned and it was found that she had been dead some time. Mrs. Sessions was born in Oakland Co., sixty-six years ago and in 1853 came to Bloomer Township, with her father, George Covill’s family. In February 18?? she was married to A.Y. Sessions and for twenty-five years they made their home on a farm in North Plains, Ionia Co. About twenty years ago Mr. Sessions went into the mercantile business here, and they have resided here since 1887. Both Mr. and Mrs. Sessions have been closely connected with the development of both Ionia and Montcalm Counties and a large circle of friends will learn with sincere regret, of Mrs. Sessions’ sudden death. The funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon from the M.E. Church and were largely attended. Burial was made in the family lot in the West Side cemetery at Hubbardston. A son, H.A. Sessions of Traverse City, a daughter, Mrs. F.H. Miner, and the bereaved husband are the only surviving members of her family. To these the sympathy of the whole community is extended. The floral tributes were numerous and beautiful.
