Bertha Sessions
Mrs. Bertha L. Sessions, 89, of 337 Portland, died Tuesday (May 25) at Burcham Hills
retirement Center in East Lansing.

She was born in Eagle township on Sept. 22, 1886, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Artimus Briggs.

Surviving are two daughters; Mrs. Dempster (Thelma) Alberts, of Lansing; and Miss 
Gertrude Beebe, of Portland. Also surviving are one grandchild and two great-
grandchildren.

Mrs. Sessions was a member of Portland chapter No. 258 of the Order of the Eastern
Star and of the Portland United methodist Church. She had been an operator for Michigan
Bell Telephone in Portland for 25 years.

Funeral services were held Friday (May 28) at the Neller Funeral Home, with the Rev.
Maurice Christensen officiating.
