Ida Belle Setchfield, aged 92, passed away on December 15, 2014 in Grand 
Rapids, Michigan.  Ida was born December 18, 1921 in Ionia, Michigan to Ralph 
and Fern DuMond who preceded her in death. 

Also preceding were her husband of over 63 years, Beryl "Barney" who passed 
away in 2003; her grandson, Jeffery Krouse; as well as her brothers, Howard, 
William, Melvin DuMond; and sister, Helen Mull.  Ida Belle will be missed by 
her surviving children, David (Kaye) Setchfield, Kay (Michael) Maitner, Kathi 
(Lawrence) Johnson; grandchildren, Erin Pierce, Joshua Maitner, Tonda (James) 
Jarvela, Angela (Jeremy) Smith, Kristin (Ryan) Emerick, Scott Setchfield, and 
Stacy (Charles) Rectenwal.  Also surviving are several great-grandchildren, as 
well as great-great-grandchildren and extended family and friends. 

After graduating high school, Ida Belle married and enjoyed becoming a stay at 
home mother. She will be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother, 
grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother who in her younger 
days enjoyed camping, boating, and snowmobiling as well as other activities 
with her family.  She also enjoyed her winters in Florida with Beryl over the 
years.  Ida Belle will also be fondly remembered as wonderful cook, an avid and 
talented sewer, knitter and crocheter. 

Join Ida Belle's family for a time of visitation and fellowship from 6 to 8 
p.m. Friday at Reyers North Valley Chapel and again from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday 
morning.  Funeral Services in celebration of her life will begin at 11a.m. 
Saturday.  Consider a memorial contribution in memory of Ida Belle to Ele's 
Place, 2000 Michigan Street Northeast, Grand Rapids, MI 49503.
