The funeral of little Otie Settle was held at the home of his uncle, Nelson Banning, on Tuesday. He came to his death in a sudden and shocking maker. He was about three years old, the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Settle, and had been staying with his aunt several weeks, when last Sunday afternoon some other children who had been with him in the yard came in and said he was lying on the ground asleep. Mrs. Banning went out at once, fearing he would take cold, and found him lying on the ground with the handles of a heavy plow lying across his neck. Life was already extinct, although she said he had not been out of the house more than ten minutes when he was found. It is supposed that in playing around the plow he had pulled it over upon him.
