The Ionia Daily Sentinel, Saturday, July 8, 1916
Mrs. William Settle, of Muir, aged 59, and a resident there all her life, died 
this morning after an illness of four months.  Mrs. settle is survived by her 
husband and nine children.  The children are James R. Settle of Blue Island, 
Illinois; Mrs. Charles Adams of Baltimore, Maryland, William Settle Jr. of 
Flint; Mrs. Nellie Struble of Muir; Mrs. Frank Elbert of Flint; Don Settle of 
Ionia; Chester Settle of Lansing, and Mrs. Mike Kelly of Ionia.  The funeral 
will be attended from the residence in Muir Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock.
