The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Thursday, March 28, 1957
Donald Settle, 59, died Tuesday at Caro.  Until ill health forced his 
retirement, he was employed at the Grand Trunk Freight office in Ionia.  Born 
in Muir September 8, 1897, he was a son of William and Ellen Settle.

Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. William Gardner of Lansing, Mrs. Michael 
Kelley of Muir and one brother, William Settle of Flint and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the home 
of Mrs. Michael Kelly in Muir.  Funeral arrangements are in care of Shaw-
Rivett funeral home.  The Rev. Lewis Herrick will officiate and interment will 
be in the Muir cemetery.
