While yet a child she removed with her parents to Ohio, where at the age of 17 years she was married to James H.Brown. To this union were born six children, three yet living as follows, Maryland R.Brown, and Mrs.David Gunn, of Sebewa and Mrs.Mary Rodg__, of Whittmore, Iosco county, Michigan. Mr.Brown died in 1857. Two years later Mrs.Brown married Samuel M. Severance, who died in 1882. Since the death of Mr. Severance she has made her home with her children in Sebewa. She was converted when twelve years of age, and joined the Disciple church, of which she has been a life long member. She will be remembered by all as a faithful Christian, kind mother and a good neighbor. The funeral as held on Sunday last at the Baptist church in Sebewa, and the internment made in the Lakeside cemetery. The services being conducted by Rev. C.O. Purdy.
