On Saturday morning O. B. Sexton or Bert Sexton , as nearly every one knew hm, left his home early to build a fire in the Memorial hall on Main-st. where two artists from Grand Rapids hold art classes on Saturdays. When the ladies arrived, going into the basement they saw Mr. Sexton on the floor and notified Miss. Olive Huntzinger, across the street, who investigated and called Merton Bower and Ed. Tew who happened to be on the street. The two doctors, Robinson and Peabody went to the basement and found the man dead. The body was taken to the undertaking rooms and Mrs. Sexton and family notified. The family have the sympathy of all as they so recently had another sudden death in that of A. L. Valentine. Mr. Sexton's heath had not been the best for a number of years on account of a heart trouble but he was considered in usual health. He was one of the best known men in the village, was justice of the peace and a member of the township board of Odessa township. He lived in Sebewa township about 50 years before coming to Lake odessa. The funeral was held in the Congregational church at 2 o'clocck Monday afternoon, the pastor Rev. A. E.
