Mr. Seymour returned to Ionia Monday evening and reported that Mrs. Seymour was doing nicely. A message from there Tuesday also confirmed this report. A message received Wednesday morning stated that Mrs. Seymour was not resting so well and a call was received about noon for Mr. Seymour to come at once. A message received by friends here yesterday morning stated that Mrs. Seymour was neither no better nor any worse. A message received about 6 o’clock last night stated that she would not live but a few hours. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Howard accompanied her mother, Mrs. McKurvis to Ann Arbor last night. They arrived shortly after she died. Besides her husband, Mrs. Seymour leaves her little daughter, Virginia, her mother, Mrs. McKurvis, and a brother. The funeral party are expected to arrive late this afternoon. The Seymour home is located at 428 High street. Funeral announcements will be made later. Mr. and Mrs. Seymour moved to Ionia about two years ago from Grand Rapids. Mr. Seymour is superintendent of the Hayes-Ionia company. Since coming to Ionia both Mr. and Mrs. Seymour have made a host of friends among the younger sex. They attended the Presbyterian church. Mrs. Seymour was a member of the Webster circle. Subsequent Publication: Tuesday, December 5, 1922 The funeral for Mrs. Guy Seymour was held from the late home, 428 High street, Monday afternoon, at 1:30 and from the Presbyterian church at 2 o’clock. Rev. Joseph H. Green, pastor of the Presbyterian church, officiated. The Hayes- Ionia company, of which Mr. Seymour is superintendent, closed at noon and a large representation was present at the church service. The Webster circle, of which Mrs. Seymour was a member, also attended the service in a body. The floral offerings, which were many and unusually beautiful, were in charge of Mrs. Richard L. Benedict, Mrs. Clare Fuller, Mrs. William Templeton and Mrs. Jesse Smith, representatives of the Webster circle. The music was furnished by the Presbyterian choir, Mrs. A. A. Rather, Mrs. Myrtelle Peck, C. O. Dickerson and G. Lee Yates, with Mrs. C. J. VanReenan at the organ. The bearers were Ora Woodard, Vern Wilkens, Dale Jepson, Forrest Keys, William Pierce and Guy Wright. Burial took place in the family lot in Highland Park cemetery.
