Clark Seymour, the well-known shoemaker, and having a wide acquaintance in the 
county as a local preacher, died at 12:50 o’clock Saturday.  He was aged 58 
years.  Mr. Seymour was twice married, and besides the bereaved wife, leaves 5 
children to mourn the death of a dutiful father:  Mrs. Scheurer of 
Indianapolis, Inc., Misses Margaret and Jessie, and son Clark of this city, 
children by first marriage, and Rev. Frank E. Dodds and Ernest Dodds.

Very feeling and appropriate were the funeral services held for the late Rev. 
Clark Seymour at 2:30 p.m., Monday at the M. E. church.  The spacious edifice 
was well filled with friends of the deceased, a testimonial to the high esteem 
and regard in which he was held by all classes of people.  The singing by the 
quartette was restful and soul-lifting to the wounded hearts of the mourners.  
An appropriate sermon was preached at his request, by his son, Rev. F. E. 
Dodds.  His associates on the official board of the church aged as pall-
bearers, while both church and friends by their presence and beautiful floral 
offerings did everything possible to show their love and appreciation of his 
life and services in this church and community.

The interment took place at Clarkston, his former home Tuesday, the body 
accompanied by his son, Clark Seymour, Jr., and F. E. Dodds, leaving on the 
7:43 train Tuesday morning.

We feel that a good man has gone from our midst.
