Lake Odessa Wave - Thursday March 7, 1968

INFANT DIES FOLLOWING SURGERY
Tia Lou, the infant daughter of Marvin and Bobbie (Perkins) Shade rural 
Sunfield, passed away last Thursday at a Lansing hospital. She was born December 
3, 1967, and had spent seven weeks in the hospital for heart surgery and 
pneumonia.

Surviving  besides the parents are a sister, Connie; three brothers, Vaughn, 
Curtis and Gary, all at home; her maternal grandparents, Mr and Mrs Dewey 
Perkins, rural Sunfield, and paternal grandmother, Mrs.Wayne Shade, Lake Odessa.

Services were held Saturday at 2 at the Mapes-Fisher Funeral Home at Sunfield. 
Pastor Fred Young of the Gospel Assembly Church of Lansing officiated with 
burial in Lakeside Cemetery, Lake Odessa. A memorial service was held Sunday 
afternoon at the Lansing church for Tia Lou.
