The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Friday, August 18, 1961

Funeral service will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Huffman funeral home in Belding 
for Virgil H. Shafer, 59, of 202 Demorest street, Belding, who died at 
Greenville hospital Wednesday.  A native of Indiana he had been a resident of 
Belding and Greenville area 30 years.  He had been a Gibson employee 23 years.

Survivors include three daughters and a son, Paul Shafer of Belding.  A 
daughter, Mrs. Richard Jepson lives in Belding.  There are six grandchildren 
and 16 step-grandchildren.

Burial will be at Greenville’s Montcalm cemetery.
