Lake Odessa Wave-Thursday May 13, 1948

Elmer Shafer Died In Ionia
Elmer Shafer who formerly lived southeast of town on the county line passed away 
in Ionia Friday of last week at the age of 82 years. Surviving is a brother 
Charles Shafer of Ionia, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Pickens Chapel, the Rev. Glenn 
Miller officiating. Interment was made Monday at Lakeside Cemetery.
