Ionia Daily Sentinel, 25 Sep 1944

Final rites were held Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Myers funeral home 
for William Shamp, 70-year-old Palo resident who was found dead Saturday 
morning by his brother, Jesse.  The Rev. George Woolcock, pastor of First 
Baptist church, officiated and burial was in North Plains cemetery.

His only other survivor is a nephew, John Shamp, of Prairie Creek.
