Stanley D. Shank, 57, of Rockford, passed away Thursday, May 2, 2002, at his
home.  He was born Dec. 18, 1944, in Greenville, the son of Kenneth and Virginia
Ayeres Shank.  Stanley graduated from Belding High School with the Class of
1963.  He was a loving husband, father and grandfather, and was an avid fisherman.

On May 25, 1963, he married Sharon Bowman in Belding.   She survives along with
their children, Lonnie and Bonnie Shank of Greenville, Lenny and Tiehenna Shank
of Rockford, Larry Shank of Greenville; his grandchildren, Alicia, Jennaca,
Keith, Nathan, Dustin, Dylan, Samantha; his sister, Karen Becker of Grand
Rapids; and his mother-in-law, Virginia Bowman.  Stanley was preceded in death
by his parents.

Funeral services for Stanley are 2 p.m. Sunday at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral
Home, Belding, with Pastor Byron Davey, of Hillcrest Free Methodist Church,
Greenville, officiating. Interment is in Oakfield Township Cemetery.  Visitation
is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be
made to Hillcrest Free Methodist Church.
