Earl L. Sharkey, 56, of Six Lakes, passed away Friday, Oct. 7, 2005, at Spectrum
Health Butterworth Campus, Grand Rapids.  He was born on May 21, 1949, in
Greenville, the son of Donald and Joyce Sowles Sharkey.

Earl was currently a resident of Six Lakes and was formerly of Stanton.  He
formerly worked as a carpenter in construction.

He was preceded in death by his parents; former wife, Freda Forist; and three
children, Mark, Kimberly and Bridget.  He is survived by brother, Wayne and Lee
Ann Sharkey of Stanton; sisters, Pennie Sharkey and Tim Vogel of Six Lakes, Suzy
Sharkey of Stanton; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are 11 p.m. Tuesday at Simpson Family Funeral Home, Sheridan,
with the Rev. Rolla Timmons officiating.  Interment is in Green Cemetery,
Orleans.  Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
