Ionia County News – Thursday, 2 January 1936

Frank Sharp, 75, died at his home in Easton Township at five o’clock New Years 
day.  He had been ill for ten months following a fall in which he suffered a 
broken leg.  Mr. Sharp was born in New York State February 23, 1861, and was 
about six years old when he came to Michigan and Easton Township with his 
parents.

He is survived by four sons, Frank of Ionia; Louis and Miles of Easton and 
Raymond of Alaska.  Also two daughters, Mrs. Harry Dye of Detroit and Mrs. F. 
L. David of Saranac.  Mrs. Sharp, who was Miss Rachel Meets, died three years 
ago.  Funeral service will be conducted by Rev. Frank Loomis of the Saranac 
Methodist church, Sunday afternoon, from the home in Easton.
