He was the youngest of a family of nine children. As a young man he went to Grand Rapids, where he met and married Mrs. May Warner, forty-three years ago. For thirty-seven years they lived in Hubbardston, where he was a paper-hanger and painter. Ill health, two years ago, forced him to retire. A stroke of paralysis last Wednesday caused Mr. Sharp’s death two days later. Beside his wife he is survived by one sister, Mrs. J. Head of Batavia, N. Y., and one brother, Seth Sharp of Attica, N. Y. There are also three step children, Mrs. Edna Short of Los Angeles, Cal., Dane Warner of Grand Haven, and Weston Warner of Hubbardston. Mr. Sharp was a member of the Hubbardston lodge of the Masonic Order. The funeral was held from the Hubbardston Methodist church, Sunday afternoon, Rev. Floyd N. Drake officiating. Burial was in the East Side cemetery.
