She came in from the barn, between two and three o’clock in the afternoon, and throwing up her hands, exclaimed, “Oh, it seems as if my head would burst.” She was assisted to her bed, but was unconscious and remained so until she died. She was a large fleshy woman and the cause of her death was probably a stroke of apoplexy. Mrs. Sharp was 60 years old, has lived in Easton for many years, and was loved by all who knew her, and will be sincerely mourned by a large circle of friends. She leaves a husband and three children, who have the sympathy of the whole community, for verily Mrs. Sharp was everyone’s friend, and has gone to reap a Christian’s reward. The funeral will be held this, Friday morning, at the house at 10 o’clock. The remains will be laid at rest in the new cemetery east of Ionia. [Transcriber’s note: There is a notation on the obituary card that she was buried in Easton Cemetery.] File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/mi/ionia/obits/s/sharp30065nob.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.net/mifiles/ File size: 1.6 Kb
