Ionia Shopper's Guide - May 21, 2011


Mr. Oren E. Shattuck III aged 81, of Ionia passed away Saturday May 14, 2011. 
He was preceded in death by his parents, Oren II and Elizabeth Shattuck; 
brothers, Henry Bishop and Donald Shattuck. Surviving are his wife of 57 years, 
Alice; children; Daniel, Rebekah, Oren IV Shattuck, Susan Albertson-Wood; 
grandchildren; Timothy S., Sarah S., Christine Albertson, Sean and Michael 
Wood; great grandchildren; Shilo and Elsa Stillman-Albertson; sisters; Barbra 
Stapis and Laura Rademacher. Oren was a member of Galilee Baptist Church. Oren 
proudly served in the National Guard. He was a self-employed carpenter, wood 
craftsman, contractor. Oren served as Ionia County Sheriffs Deputy, was an avid 
outdoorsman who enjoyed big game hunting and was a marksman. Memorial service 
will be held 4:00p.m. Sunday May 22, 2011 at Galilee Baptist Church, 291 
Orchard St., Saranac, with Pastor Andy Mooren officiating. Memories and
