Ionia Shopper's Guide - Sat March 19, 2022

SHATTUCK

Daniel John Shattuck age 65 of Ionia passed away March 11, 2022. He was born 
March 26, 1956 in Lansing the son of Vernon and Leota (Guy) Shattuck. Dan 
attended Ionia public schools graduating with the class of 1974. He went on to 
marry Cathy S.Chartrand September 26, 1975 in Portland.

Dn worked at General Tire for 20 plus years and later went to work for the State 
of Michigan as a Corrections Officer.He loved hunting, searching for Morel 
Mushrooms and going to the family cabin in the Upper Peninsula.Dan was Past 
President of the Wrestling Club in Ionia.

Surviving Dan is his wife of 46 years Cathy Shattuck of Ionia.Parents Vernon and 
Leota Shattuck of Lyons. Sons: Daniel (Rebecca) Shattuck II of Lyons, Aaron 
(Katrina) Shattuck of Sunfield and Luke Shattuck, Teagan Newcombe, Brock 
Shattuck, Jessa Shattuck, Frankie Shattuck, Ivy Shattuck, Levi Shattuck of 
Lyons, Laurie (Dave) Weisgerber of Ionia, Doug (Irene) Shattuck of Lyons, Scott 
(Sarah) Shattuck of Lyons, Mark (Michelle) Shattuck of Lyons, Morris (Carolyn) 
Shattuck of Ionia, Kris (Kim) Shattuck of Ionia and Dawn Shattuck of Ionia; 
extended family member,Melanie Newcombe. 

He was preceded in death by his son, Nathan in 2020 and an infant brother 
Steven.

Funeral services for Dan were at theLake Funeral Home in Ionia, Wednesday, March 
16, 20202 at 11:0 AM. Visitation was held on Tuesday from 1-3 and 5-7 PM at the
