Ionia Sentinel-Standard
Betty L. Shattuck, 50, of 8171 Flannigan road, died Thursday at Butterworth 
hospital after a long illness.  She was born July 28, 1927 in Saranac, the 
daughter of Marian and Allyn Grant.  She married John Shattuck in Lake Odessa in 
1946.  He survives.  Also surviving are her mother Mrs. Marian Johnson of 
Chiefland, Florida; one son, Dennis of Portland; two daughters Patricia Beach of 
Belding and Peggy Nichols of Ada two sisters, Mrs. Beverly Shartle of Lansing 
and Mrs Marilyn Bearup of St Johns and six grandchildren.

Mrs Shattuck was preceded in death by her father in 1952 and a brother, Bryce 
Grant in 1943.  Memorial services are Saturday at 11 am in Shiloh Community 
church with Rev Kenneth Harger officiating.  Burial is in Orleans cemetery.
