FORMER RESIDENT DIES AT LUDINGTON

Mrs. Archie Shaw, Victim Of An Operation, Was Born Here Forty Years Ago

Mrs. Archie Shaw, a former resident of Portland, died Tuesday morning in a 
hospital at Ludington, where she underwent an operation a week ago.  Mrs. 
Shaw’s maiden name was Addie Alberts.  She was born in Portland 40 years ago 
and resided here until several years after her marriage to Archie Shaw, when 
they moved to Ludington.  She is survived by a husband and two daughters, the 
Misses Carrie and Olive Shaw.  Mrs. George Storms, of Portland is a sister of 
the deceased.  There are also two brothers, William Alberts, of McBride, Frank 
Alberts and a mother, Mrs. E. P. Stanbaugh, of Grand Ledge, to mourn her loss.

Those who attended the funeral from here were Mrs. George Storms and Mrs. Will 
Luscher.
