SPARTA, June 1 – Ely Shaw, 84, died at his home here today from old age.  A 
native of Canada, he had lived 25 years in Lyons, 15 years in Cedar Springs 
and the last 9 years here.  He is survived by the widow, Mrs. Julia Shaw; a 
son, Albert Shaw, Matamora, O., and a brother.  The body was taken to Bettis 
funeral home where services will be held Sunday at 1:30 with burial in Lyons 
cemetery.
