Shaw, 68, died at her home in Muir, at 3:30 Wednesday morning, Aug. 20, of a heart attack. Louise Elizabeth Strong, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Strong, was born in Chicago, Sept. 10, 1879. the family moved to Carson City when she was a young girl and it was there that she married George L. Shaw in 1899. During the first year of their marriage they established their home and business in Muir, where they have resided for nearly 50 years. A member of the Presbyterian church and its Aid Society, a charter member of the Muir Library club, Mrs. Shaw was a strong force in every forward movement for her church and her home community. Surviving are her husband, George L. Shaw, prominent Muir furniture dealer and undertaker; two daughters, Mrs. Clifford Morse, Ionia, and Mrs. K. Arthur Rivett, Muir; two grandchildren, Connie Morse and John Rivett. Funeral service will be from the home at two o’clock, Saturday afternoon, and burial will be in Muir cemetery.
